Seattle Restaurants
Restaurants of Puget Sound
Best Overall Experience (also suitable for special occasions)
Lark (in First Hill/Capitol Hill, fun experience, not formal)
Café Juanita (in Kirkland, arguably one of top 10 modern Italian restaurants in US-very focus on using local ingredients in a modern cuccina way))
Campagne (Pike Place Market, best high-end French restaurant)
Dhalia Lounge (remain a classic that defines Northwest style, great elegance)
Union (1st Ave downtown, very imaginative food, zen/simple style with a good wine list, good place to eat at the bar)
Tilth (in a quaint “house” in Wallingford, great local food, everything organic/natural, a wine list that is small but well researched, great concept of small and large plates make it easy to create interesting tasting menu-reasonably priced)
Best Food (no consideration on service/ambience/scene jut FOOD)
Lampreia (in Belltown, superb modern cuisine, the only “true cosmopolitan” restaurant in Seattle)
Lark
Café Juanita
Nells (in Green Lake, incredible northwest food, decent wine…the only problem: it has the feel of a strip mall)
Mistral (in Belltown, great, most inventive food but there is never a big crowd in there so you feel like in a monastery)
Great food with a buzz/interesting scene (good for casual company or alone)
Harvest Vine (in Madison park, authentic high-end Spanish tapa restaurant with a great atmosphere and a regular favorite of local foodies)
Crush (in Madison park, in an old renovated house with cutting edge, northwest food, it has a busy bar scene and is a great value and lots of eye candy)
Crow (Lower Queen Anne, always busy, good comfort food, reasonable priced)
Le Pichet (1st ave near the market, the quintessential French bistro, great list of wines by the glass, well thought out simple menu with great French classics, very “hip” crowd, the bar is always busy)
Matt’s at the market (in the market, the quintessential Seattle restaurant, interesting wine, good simple food and full of regulars, an atmosphere like no other, great place to dine alone at the bar)
Via Tribunali (Pike st in Capitol Hill….the best pizza place in Seattle and a great scene…good place to mingle and relax)
Volterra (in Ballard, a hip/happening modern Italian place with great atmosphere and wine and a well priced menu)
Cascadia (1st Ave in Belltown, sit at the bar, choose from an interesting choice of appetizers, decent wine selection and enjoy the view…)
Zoe (2nd Ave in Belltown, great Northwest food, great ambience…always dead on, always an interesting crowd…very steady)
